Wild Hearts Farm Family Lifestyle Session // Washington Family Lifestyle Photographer

I have known this family since I first started out in the photography world, back in 2012! It is such a heart-warming experience when clients ask to work with me again; it’s like Christmas. I was so looking forward to seeing them again because I hadn’t met their youngest kiddo yet (plus, hello, they are just beautiful people, my lens loves them!)

During the planning process, Jackie and I were coming up with locations, and then she messaged me a few days before the session to ask if we could switch our location to her next door neighbor’s farm.  She sent me some photos and I instantly squealed for joy because this was the very farm I had recently seen on social media as the up-and-coming new “IT” place for photographers to shoot sessions, and I was getting the opportunity to be one of the firsts to go there (insert excited jumping around the room!)

Like me, farms and beautiful light inspire Jackie.  Their beautiful 1912 farm house is nestled at the end of a quiet dead-end street with a clear view of Mt. Rainier, horses, and a white fence; it’s quite picturesque.  The thought of plunking her perfect little family down in barns, fields, gardens, and amongst weeping willows was almost too much for me, I couldn’t wait!

Session day came and Wild Hearts Farm did not disappoint; my only regret is that I didn’t get to stay there for an entire day!  I must go back soon and poke around again. Jodall and her husband have obviously worked very hard and have poured a lot of love into making this a dream-come-true location for photographers to shoot. I’d have to say this is one of my all time favorite sessions, I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I enjoyed taking them!

What you should know about this session: Wild Hearts Farm is a unique and beautiful place to shoot, but is not open to the public. It is also a residence so you must call and reserve a day and time in order to book a session there. Contact Jodall by clicking here for more information!

Want to know more about Golden Hour? This is a neat website I found that can calculate Golden Hour for you anywhere in the world. And yes, there’s also an app for that (if you’re an iphone user.)  Or you can be old-school like me and Google sunset time and subtract an hour.
